The Three Musketeers

Anyone else seen this new trailer yet? I'm not too sure what to think about this latest incarnation of Dumas' tale. The movie stars Logan Lerman, Matthew Macfadyen, Ray Stevenson, Milla Jovovich, Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz and James Corden and will release October 14.

As for me, it looks like the story is taking itself just a little too seriously for my tastes. And what is with all the Matrix slo-mo moves? We really don't need to go there with this classic. That said, I'll probably still go see it because I'm compulsive like that. Thoughts?

I'll probably see it just because I like most of the cast.

Hmm. You had me concerned when you mentioned the slo-mo moves, but it's not horrible (unless there's a LOT more than what the trailer suggests). I'm not sure I'd go to the theater for this. DVD - yes.

It looks nice and actiony. You're right in that it looks a little too serious, but hopefully there's a bit more humor than what the trailer showed.

Two words. Eye. Candy.

I'll watch it just for those costumes! It's funny seeing Milla Jovovich in this one, and she's basically doing all the same things she does in the Resident Evil movies.

Oh wow, lots of action in this one. I have a feeling I'll watch it because it looks fun. It depends though because I don't get to watch that many movies.

One the one hand: not the book. On the other hand: could be tons of fun. Probably it's a wait-and-see movie.
